I had to buy one in 97 and it was like $700, a huge expense. I used them so often they eventually broke. I went thru 4 of them and bought the last one in 2004. A Fuji 6mb, $400. I still have it and it works fine after at least 10K pics with it. I look at Walmart at 12mb cameras for $100, I can't imagine what you need that much camera for. If you take a risk, you may lose. This cost is probably what most of all let that "eBay Store" concept last the few years that it did. The pics were always the big thing. Had to wait for tech to catch up. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

I was making so much in a week selling guns and military that the $700 was made back immediately. Sometimes I had $10K on me, in my pocket, when I went to shows. I look back on those days kind of in disbelief at how lazy and ignorant the dealers at the shows were. They had to be dragged kicking and and screaming into the computer age. And by that time Ebay had banned all guns, lol. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
