But that's what made the Chipmunks famous.

You say that like it's a good thing.

Gotta agree with EB about the Chipmunks Christmas song. It was a "funny once" novelty that became an agonizing bore with repetition.

I think I can take that song a few times every season. The one that is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me is Feliz Navidad. Don't know why.

Sappy sentimentality at it's worst.

The mind hungers for that on which it feeds.

I voted "other", and this is the song I was thinking of when I did it.

I didn't even get to the lyrics, the
kid in line and the sappy music had
me throwing up in my mouth, I
turned it off.

I have never seen or heard this song before. Lucky me. I'll never hear it again if I can help it.

That was really, purely gawd-awful. You've topped my list, and it's not close.

At least the cutesy-funny novelty Christmas songs have a sense of mischief and joy built in. This was just...I can't find words for how tacky that was.

I hear this year at the White House they'll sing "I Saw Daddy Sucking Putin's Dick."

Sad!

Thoughts of suicide flashed twice
before the lyrics even started.
Maybe that's what the song writers
were going for..

OK. I finally had a chance to listen. I heard almost a minute each of Christmas shoes and daddy don’t get drunk. Enough to know I’m glad I’ve never heard them before and never will again.

For the record, all of the other songs in the poll, I own, and have played at various Christmas events in my former life as a DJ.

If you only got 1 minute in on shoes, you didn't make it to the true nadir. The kid wants the shoes because mommy's meeting Jesus tonight (dying on Christmas Eve) and she wants to look her best.

FWIW, my Grandma died on Christmas Eve 1974. Might have something to do with how repulsive I find this song.

Ummm. Nope. It's just that awful, all by itself.
