Classic sad songs

(Inspired by Face post)

Got any memories of sad songs? Maybe they're still sad now, or maybe not.

Best ones are songs so sad, you shed a single tear, and say, "That was sad, and I don't even have a damn dog." at the end of it.

Here's one I remember played a lot. And it was kind of well known yet people weren't sure what the title was.

If you don't know the name you can try to guess from the lyrics. Spoiler at bottom.

Adele in going to be the first solo singer female billionaire, her talent is that huge. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Probably looks like a good deal at the time, compared to starving. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

The days of Colonel Parker having a lifetime contract over Elvis Presley are long gone. Madonna caps each of her lawyer's incomes at one million dollars; this cuts both ways.

Madonna has been around for literally decades,
she's almost 60. Adelle has been around a few
years. The billionaire prediction is not mine,
it's Billboard Magazine's. Take it up with them
if you think you know more than they do.

Thing was record companies were always like a VC firm. Lots of srtrikeouts so need many HRs to balance it out. They had to get their end back for the push they gave her and whoever else at the time.
