I haven't been checking in lately, but a couple of weeks ago, one of the parents was always there. I just checked, and the "chick" (at what point does it become a "juvenile", or is it called something else?) was alone.

I think it's just called an eaglet.

You can switch to camera 2 from the YouTube feed. The button looks like a folder with a left & right arrow on it. The second camera is usually pointed at the tree which the nest is in, from a slight distance.

When the eaglet appears to be alone, if you switch to the other camera, the parent is usually sitting on the branch above the nest. At 4:50 PM Eastern time, this is the case.

It shocked me to see the nest filled with
white feathers. They had caught a bird
and eaten it, what a mess.

Just checking in, both adults are there now (well, they were when I started this post).

The eaglet has grown a lot, and was just eating without needing beak-to-beak transactions.

Oddly, the feathers on its head that were starting to turn white don't seem to be there any more.

The eaglet seems really lethargic. I wonder if it is sick. It is sprawled in the shade on one edge of the nest instead of sitting up.

I think it's okay. It's doing better than the egg.

If you switch to the "tree" shot on the other camera, you will notice lots of other birds coming and going. I guess the Bald Eagles aren't too concerned about them (or maybe see them as potential meals if they tired of fish?).

Haven't seen an adult in awhile. Eaglet is not dead, but not moving much either.

ago, eating.
