Comic Book movies tend to be very blatant, and this one is filled with innuendo and unexplained behavior. I always liked Krysten Ritter, and the fact that the villain (a longtime Daredevil enemy) is played by David Tennant is a big bonus. Jessica Jones is a relatively new Marvel superhero only introduced in Nov 2001. |

Damn. You shot the Easter Bunny. I was looking forward to David Tennant, Mr. Nice Guy, play a psychopath. I have never seen him play an evil character. I still think one of Mark Harmon's best roles in 40 years of TV was Ted Bundy in The Deliberate Stranger (TV Movie 1986). |

Oh, I haven't seen any of it yet. I'm just very disappointed in most of the Orig Nflix series. The first 2 seasons of House of Cards was good, the 3rd sucked. 3rd season of Lilyhammer was unwatchable, series cancelled. The other 8-10 I sampled were drek. The only one I really liked was the one in Florida, but it's 2nd season will probably suck too. Fflix has a bad writing problem, which is the key to everything. There has never been enough good writing to go around in any generation. There are only so many Philip K Dick's. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

TBBT topped 20 million viewers three times, so I wonder how many they will get for their finale. I would hope they would be up above 30 million. Millions - Season Finale - Date - Network 18.4 Will & Grace May 18, 2006 NBC 32.9 Everybody Loves Raymond May 16, 2005 CBS 33.7 Frasier May 13, 2004 NBC 52.46 Friends May 6, 2004 NBC 35.5 Home Improvement May 25, 1999 ABC 76.3 Seinfeld May 14, 1998 NBC |

Pacomartin Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 1068 Posts: 12569 | Netflix is producing a series on four different Marvel heroes. They all live in NYC, specifically Hell's Kitchen. They appeared over a period of decades in the comics. The second series premiered this week. 1) Daredevil (April 1964) actor Charlie Cox premiered on April 10, 2015 2) Jessica Jones (November 2001) actress Krysten Ritter premiered November 20, 2015 3) Luke Cage (June 1972) actor Mike Colter (minor character and love interest to Jessica Jones) 4) Iron Fist (May 1974) not cast The plan at this point is to team all four of them in a movie called "The Defenders" similar to "The Avengers" The shows have been very dark. I found Daredevil a little tedious. So far Jessica Jones has been more appealing. If they were movies, I would call them between a hard PG-13 and a soft R. Any fans of Daredevil out there? |

I really enjoyed the comic book. Unfortunately, the Ben Affleck movie was poorly done. I am not sure if it was bad because they attempted to combine it with Jennifer Garner's "Elektra" (which was worse), or because a story with a "blind" lead doesn't translate to film very well. I think it was more the Elektra tie in that did it in. There have been great movies with "disabled" leads. |

I lasted for 20min of the pilot, felt like an hour. I watched the pilot of JJ and came away disliking the main character so much I can't watch another one. I think it's where she told some guy she was going to 'pull out his underwear thru his eye socket', that's where I lost interest. I hate when the writers make 110 pound girls talk like 260 pound bikers. It just makes them sound stupid. I took some martial arts classes in my early 20's. The first thing they tell you is size is everything. A 6' 2" guy with no training can usually beat a 5' 4" girl with a lot of training. But that's never true on TV or movies, the opposite is true. And stupid. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

It is difficult to believe that Ben Affleck got the Batman part. There is so much money riding on these films you figure once and out. But at least it came close to breaking even. Green Lantern was much worse, and they plan on making a sequel. Daredevil (February 14, 2003) Production Budget: $78 million | Domestic: $102.5 million + Foreign: $76.6 million Elektra ( January 14, 2005) Production Budget: $43 million | Domestic: $24.4 million + Foreign: $32.3 million Green Lantern (June 17, 2011) Production Budget: $200 million | Domestic: $116.6 million + Foreign: $103.3 million But my Initial post was referring to Netflix Daredevil. |
