No, rape is an inherently evil act and cannot be a moral good. The circumstances or the ends don't change an evil into a good. “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |

So did Mary and God have a discussion about her being the vessel for Jesus and she had a choice? "but if you make yourselves sheep, the wolves will eat you." Benjamin Franklin |

You never heard of the Annunciation? Read Luke sometime. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

How is it Mary was a married virgin? Was her husband a little on the slow side? We have to assume she was in her teens, as were most newly married girls then. 15 or 16 probably. God gets ahold of you and says the wants to knock you up, and you say, sure, go right ahead. Never happened, silly beyond belief. And why is it only in Luke? This is a pretty big part of the myth. Should be in all the gospels. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

So morality is subjective why? Are you saying rape is a good thing? “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |

FrGamble Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 67 Posts: 7596 | So the morality of rape is just dependent on the person or perspective? Morally good for the rapist? Is that really what you are saying?!? Do you want to tell that to the victim or does she just not understand that morality is subjective? “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |

petroglyph Member since: Aug 3, 2014 Threads: 25 Posts: 6227 | Just like what you are doing, twisting an objective statement [in the opinion of the rapist] to try and make it seem [subjective] like that is what I said. Is that how you see the world, all victims of rape are female? Is it only immoral in your opinion if the victim is a she? The last official act of any government is to loot the treasury. GW |

Thanks for the clarification, I just want to be sure that you would agree that rape, no matter the genders involved, is always objectively evil and the morality of such an act is not in any way determined by the subjective opinions of the perpetrator or society. “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |
