When I was a senior in college the GM Truck fire thing that was not really a big deal hit. Professors gave us the "what would you do" question. Combo of both young and street-ignorant as well as giving the answer we thought they wanted to hear we said things like offer a buyback. They countered about the cost and said the reality is you delay as long as you can because every day out there means less trucks affected. And that is the reality. Best option if fight and delay, delay and fight. One recall of Chrysler products was a joke. They were going to junkyards and doing the fix to get the required number of cars fixed. War is peace.
