It's far better for your back and it's better for your circulation to have your legs up. I have a swing out shelf for the laptop puts the screen 15" from my nose. I have a shelving unit next to the recliner that acts like a desk for holding items. Never had a more comfortable work environment, I never feel sore, me legs never hurt from sitting too long. I hate office chairs now, this is way to get things done. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Then you need to up your office chair game ;) I upgraded (see also: finally bought one instead of picking out of the dumpster) last spring. I don't even sit in my recliner anymore, it is that comfy. They've come a long way, and every bit of it is adjustable. Height, seat distance from back, seat recline, back recline, lumbar, arm rests, and probably more that I'm not even aware of. If I cut a hole in it and ran a bit of pipe, I'd never have to get up ever again. Be bold and risk defeat, or be cautious and encourage it. |

Does it elevate your legs, that's the important part, so your circulation is better than having your knees bent. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I change positions every 10 freaking minutes. You would not like being my plane neighbor. Be bold and risk defeat, or be cautious and encourage it. |

That's the point of this, takes the pressure off your back and spine. I'm typing in it now, at a 30 degree angle, feet in front of me. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

In my surveillance days, I was damn near horizontal lol. But it doesn't matter. There is no longer a position for me that doesn't hurt. It's better, certainly. Be bold and risk defeat, or be cautious and encourage it. |

I highly recommend a pair of glasses [special prescription] that focuses properly with your screen 2 feet away or so. I'm Still Standing, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah [it's an old guy chant for me] |

Here's a good one. They take the seat out of a Ferrari. It's only $25,000 and you get to pick the color of the base: ![]() photo credit: carthrottle.com |
