I know some states do testing for graduation, like New York's Regents exams, but most don't.


If you can pass the class you should be able to pass the test. If you cannot pass the test then you probably need to re-take the class?

Why not a test for all subjects, like the New York Regents exams? Why just this subject?

There are surely a lot of things the state mandates schools must cover and test on already, this is just a change that is making the news.

Reading, writing, arithmetic and responsiblities... seems a reasonable 4 Rs...
