It is quite amazing that we can trace the succession of Pope Francis .

It's called record keeping, nothing amazing
about it at all. The Queen of England can
trace her heritage directly to the first Norman
king in the 9th century, William the Conqueror.

It is quite amazing that we can trace the succession of Pope Francis directly back to St. Peter without any break at all. He is the direct successor as are all the bishops today direct successors of the Apostles.
You are not claiming direct bloodline, correct? It's more like a corporate ceo appoints the next ceo, IINM?

Pope Francis is the 266th successor of St. Peter and one can see an unbroken chain of succession directly back to the person of Jesus Christ.

So obviously not a bloodline then, seeing as how the bishops and Pope's are not paternal fathers?

You just can't prove Jesus ever existed, there's
the rub.

On your side (assuming a lot of bad assumptions).

How about on the Orthodox side?

I think the Orthodox like to trace their succession to St. Andrew the first disciple.

Does it frustrate you that such a succession exists without these assumptions you claim? I admit it is pretty amazing and speaks volumes about the connection of the Catholic Church to Jesus Christ Himself which no other Church can claim.

It bothers me that you think it's complete, or that it means anything.

See? No other churches have hierarchies or leaders or keep track. So what's the big deal?

It bothers me that FrG uses the word 'amazing'
so often that it's lost all meaning. Everything
can't be amazing, he's trying way too hard to
convince himself that his ego bloated misogynistic
failing Church is really something wonderful.
It's not working.
